The United States Department of Labor currently has 74 active members and a few vacancies. There was a change in leadership because the top members were appointed by the President of the United States and with the recent change in national leadership there was a change in their positions as well. Forty-eight, more than half of the department is white while 10 are Black or African American, 8 are Asian and 7 are Hispanic. There are slightly more females than male with 39 females and 35 males. For each ethnic group, besides Black or African American there are more females then males.
